Big tobacco won a big victory Tuesday, as the Supreme Court rejected a $79.5 million award in the Philip Morris case. It didn't take long for bloggers to respond, including Ethan Lieb at PrawfsBlawg, who posts about the difficulty of distinguishing between a jury's ability to consider reprehensibility (which is permitted) and damage to others (which is not).
