The Deferred Action Mission Impossible can be Possible
DEFERRED ACTION, COMMUNITIES, AND THE GED TESTING SERVICE® WORKING TOGETHER
THE KEY TO PROTECTION IS EDUCATION
Let’s applaud President Barack Obama for his Deferred Action Order.
There are 300,000 “Dreamers” without a G.E.D. or what is called the high school equivalency. And they cannot obtain protection against deportation.
The Problem: The process is slow in the United States and among the 300,000 only about 3,000 G.E.D. diplomas will be earned or less in a year.
The solution: Communities and families working together to help instead of doing nothing or very little. “El Quijote del GED” can help today.
Remember also the reports in the news that say that there are more deportations. This is not a lie.
The G.E.D. Is Protection For Your Family
WARNING: THE G.E.D. EXAM WILL BE HARDER IN 2014. DO IT TODAY!
Deferred Action, Communities, and the GED Testing Service®
President Barack Obama's Deferred Action Protection Order and the GED®. There are about 300,000 "Dreamers" who have not graduated from high school and not attained the GED® at this time and they and their families should be concerned. It is important for everyone to help these youth. Normally less than one percent of the Hispanic community earns the GED® in a year. That means 3,000 diplomas a year or less. That means almost everyone will not be protected now and in the next year, leaving 297,000 young people unprotected. Mass mobilization is needed to protect everyone fast. As the school year comes to end, that 300,000 figure will rise significantly because of the high dropout rate from high school and continue that way for many years to come. More than 80 percent of the "Dreamers" are Mexican. Yes my friends, the GED process is that slow in Hispanic communities.
The Dream Act Bill 2012 - On June 15, 2012, President Barack Obama announced that his administration would stop deporting young illegal aliens who match certain criteria previously proposed under the DREAM ACT. However, this change in policy does not cover most individuals who arrived in the U.S. legally.
